Just won't go in

Can I just pour ATF in where the shifter connects in the cab?

Yes. Pull the fill plug and stop when it runs out of there.

I'm really nervous I'm going to get air into my hydraulic clutch lines. I have the bleeder valve open and I have ran about 1 and 1/2 cylinders of fluid through. It is just a steady drip it's not a stream how long should I do this to guarantee there's no air in my lines?

I say if you don't se air bubbles forming in the drip you're probably good to go.

Those clutch systems are a royal pain to bleed. Tighten it up and see if it disengages the clutch consistently and with a decent and repeatable feel. If so, you're good to go. If not, you get to bleed it more!
