Just won't go in

That's why I said crack the bleeder... push the bearing back. I'm just gray on the details... again that's why I asked for clairification.

I also know that you have to have the angle right... if it isn't right... it isn't going together.

Ok. I will reread what .......Shran(I think was his name) said. I think he said I shouldn't need to do that, but I can, it wouldn't hurt. I guess I'm just hoping I won't have to pull the transmission back out. Such a pain even to get it up above the exhaust. But if I need to,I will. Ugh. Lol

The more I look at your pictures... I looked on my phone last time... if you're trying to put the transmission to the engine the way it's pictured... it isn't going to go. The transmission and engine have to be level to one another. You may have to jack the rear of the up or lower the tailshaft of the transmission to make that happen.

It helps a bunch to have a helper for a couple minutes to get it aligned and slid together.

No it is just resting. I have 1 bolt about a quarter or the way in.(I'm NOT using the bolts to mate the surfaces of the transmission and the block) and t the tail is sitting on a cinder block. I only put the bolt in so it wasn't resting on my exhaust and I KNOW it won't fall. I will not put the bolts in until it is correct. It is tempting but I'm not doing this again so I am making sure it is done RIGHT!!

The throwout bearing isn't supposed to contact the pressure plate until you engage the clutch. If it did, it would essentially be "riding the clutch" all the time, and you would prematurely wear out the throwout bearing.

That is incorrect. Modern vehicles have the throwout bearing in contact with the pressure plate all the time so the throwout bearing does not rattle, and does not wear the pp fingers as you start to depress the clutch pedal.

The grease for the splines. Does it need to be high temp? Is moly EP ok?

That will be fine...

More is not better... just a simple lite coating is all you need.

Just a tiny bit of most anything slimy.

you will... just line it up straight

This looks almost perfectly lined up doesn't it?
