It's weird......the Harley mufflers send the sound straight behind the truck about 30 feet.....+ houses in Louisiana are well insulated(soundproofed) + the central A/C in the house + the washing machine + the t.v. + the wife hollering all the time + the bullfrogs in the pond out back....


Ohhhhhhhhh.....++ the v.a. drugs......

Nope.......didn't hear a thang.....don't even remember starting it the first time....good thang the extra radiator worked correctly....I could'a went to bed & woke up the next morning & found a empty tank of gas & a dead battery....Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaa....weeze......




Ya knowww........if this would be anybody else....you'd think it was all "made up"......Waaaaaaaaaaahhahahahhaaaaa


RE-EDIT: Thursday........took it for an hour run today....95* outside.....60mph/some stop'n'stop traffic....A/C off = 110* engine temp at 60mph................A/C on = 150* engine temp at 60mph...............170* engine temp in stop'n'stop traffic..

Looks like we have a Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to put the hide........errrrrr.....hood back on the truck!!!!!!!

the owners found their houses 2 blocks down their street in vacant lots after Katrina......

one family found their house...it was across the street from it's original location......sitting nice and neat on a corner lot up against another house that was SUPPOSED to be there!!!!!!!!








EDIT: Enough chit-chat........time to hide all the floppy wires on the engine........ first the alternator.......

next........the new A/C & stuff on the passengers side....not a good pic--the main loom isn't showing..........

While I was wrapping the wiring, I got the CAI Cleaner ready to install.............

the engine bay is so narrow that I'm gonna havta modify the 2 inlets on the cleaner....both inlets need to be notched & re-welded so that they each face forward 45degrees....that'll make the drivers side inlet point forward of the brake-fluid resevoir.....
then the flex hoses can be run to a 4" hole thru each of the side panels on the engine bay.....


too bad they didn't make a 12" diameter cold-air intake ....... it would have fit perfectly......(unlike anything else on the truk...LOL)

Hey......what you doin up this time of nite.....errr....morning?


Well,,, there's a guy in town that specializes in pinion/gear swaps......I'ma check with him on some 7.5" by 3.08 gears (I won't be racing baddad--so--no need for tough gears--LOL)....I figure I'll be able to do the gear swap a lot faster than finding/yanking/installing a boneyard rear end...(of course, fast for me would be a week!)

In the meantime...I'm tryin to get the engine bay looking halfway decent.....


Uhhhhhhhhh.....I gotta go to bed.....the walls are started to turn sideways.............again.........

Short story...it dropped the gas mpg from 20 to 16 mpg (weird---huh)....so i put the 12" air cleaner back on until I got the cold-air-cleaner....of course there's a mod (above) invovled..........
