Just a curiosity question

Lonnnnnng ago I tossed around ideas for a chop on mine. Some 20 years ago I saved these pics of a BII someone had done a removable top to make it look like factory (you can just make out the line where the top sits on the truck at the rear of the window). Don't remember who's truck this is, or if they were ever on TRS or another RBV site (maybe someone recognizes it?). As time went on, I guess I just learned to live with mine the way it is (I'm not sure I can see myself pursuing a chop at this point). I'm sure it was a lot of work that went into this BII.

As for the 2.9L V6 & big tires, just remember it's a 2.9L running on 38-year-old technology. Gear it properly for the tires and it should do as well as can be expected for 140 horses (for 33" tires that would be 4.88 gears)... I have 35" tires, so for me it was 5.13 gears.

That thing is slicker then cat shit on ice.

I doubt id go bigger then 33's. Probably 31's to be honest. Any wheeling id do with it could probably be accomplished on stock stuff honestly.

I say that now i guess untill i start wondering what if.

on memory that one had a modified glass cap from a pickup like i had for mine...but not tall.

there were a few that used the actual b2 top and windows but the cut line went down to the body line on the outside.
