Took a Tuesday afternoon stroll through the junkyard, as most employed people do...
Saw this little gem parked in the back corner.

The un-stock air cleaner piqued my interest but I'm not knowledgeable on the 2.8.
I'm asking for some more seasoned eyes to confirm if this is an attempted Duraspark conversion..
Couldn't find much info on the bits I pulled. Most the wiring had either been yanked, cut, or was missing by the time I got there which raised the Duraspark question.
Someone before me clearly attempted to get these parts off but probably couldn't free the retainer bolt for the dizzy and gave up.

Distributor is a Motorcraft 75TF 12100 NA 4JD

Carb is a Holley 2 Barrel 6R1919B

Is this stuff worth keeping?

Those parts are in very high demand. You can't get that distributor anymore from the reman people. That is a duraspark II distributor, see the vacuum advance where the vacuum hose goes? That is all old school. The original TFI distributor just has a flat grey module mounted to the distributor with no vacuum line connection.

Does the module say "Motorcraft" on it? Those are the best modules to use also.

The carb looks like it is a center hung float aftermarket Holley. That is a nice score also.

that’s great news! I guess I need to find a good 2.8 to slap these on!

The module says Delco, not Motorcraft.

Hmm, I think there might be one of these kinds of finds in the local yard that I’m planning on visiting this week, I’ll have to take a look now that I know people are looking for this stuff. I never paid it much mind since I never owned a 2.8 truck yet

You should snag the grille, side markers, emblems, and instrument panel too. Especially the side markers and grille. Those aren't easy to find.

Damn, that is a great score! Dunno what you paid but I bet you can at least make your money back if not some profit!
