Hello, all. My name’s Mark. I live in MT and am a mostly retired dirt farmer, mechanic, welder, carpenter, truck driver, and volunteer firefighter. Hence the thread title.

I’ve got an 88 Ranger 2WD, 2.9L, 5 speed, that’s been in our family since new. 97K original miles. I’ve been using this forum as a resource to troubleshoot a few issues, mostly related to age and infrequent use, and decided I might as well join.

This board has been useful, and is further evidence that the Internet is good for something besides funny memes and kitten videos. Happy to be here. Well, when you get to be my age, you’re happy to be anywhere.
