it is getting cold out there, and living in Florida, I see a lot of people from the Northern Region. And a debate has started. When I said I needed my Toboggan, cuz I'm bald, to keep my head warm, My Boss, from Michigan, started laughing his ass(arse) off. He asked why would I put a toboggan on my head, and I said where else would I put it. and he told me a toboggan was a sled for snow. all my life a toboggan has been a hat, until now.
So, I ask, "What is a toboggan to you?"

In Michigan... a toboggan is a wood sled rolled over on the front.

Those long tailed hats we called them stocking caps. The tail was long enough you could wrap it around your face and neck then tuck it into your coat. it was a hat and scarf in one.
