Where does a tuque fit into this?

Pretty thin line between the two...

You DO have Glaucoma don't you. One is clearly an elf hat and the other is red and white:icon_rofl:
JK if ya'll call a sled a toboggan, what do you call a knitted cap, a bike?:icon_rofl:

I will ask the first elf I see what he calls his hat :icon_thumby:

Most people just call them stocking hats here but nobody in my circle has the little pom pom thingie on theirs.

They're missing out. On a lot of ball jokes. And we don't sled down snow hills down here and "toboggan" is just too fun of a word to not have it in my vocabulary, so it is a stocking hat for me.

I'm scared. (rocks in corner crying).:bawling:

Sled

That image you posted is a TOQUE (TOUQUE?). The jury is out on the correct spelling.

When I Googled toqué, I didn't see any images with the fold, more like a sock hat or beanie. A toboggan has the fold so it's doubled over the forehead, but I am not in Canada, so what do I know. You would definitely have expertise in this over a Floridan..

A toboggan is a wooden sled,I think the hat you're talking about would be called a tuke here and in Canada.I had a former employee from Montana that called his a beanie,I've seen them called watch caps before. The fuzzy ball on some is called a petong(sp?),pronounced pea-tong,which means little thing if you're French Canadian.

Most tukes fit more like skull caps and don't have long tails, otherwise you could run over it when sliding on your toboggan and pull it off your head.
