I want to pull all the adjustable lumbar parts out of another ranger seat, install it in my 60/40, then re-stuff it and put the original seat covers back on to save some money (im a college student). My seat springs in the back of my 01 60/40 bench finally crapped out and I have back problems so something needs to be done about it. I know about the explorer seat swap which would be fine but I cant find any even remotely decent seats around kansas city. I want to pull all the adjustable lumbar parts out of another seat, install it in my 60/40, then re-stuff it and put the original seat covers back on to save some money (im a college student). What vehicles should I be looking for? I dont remember seeing any rangers with adjustable lumbar at the junkyard this past weekend and I dont think the 95-01 exploders have a similar seat frame to my truck. Any suggestions?

You want cheap? Years ago, I inserted a 2 foot tall piece of 3/8" thick plywood inside my driver's seat, and used a horizontal piece of 2x3" lumber (w/ rounded corners) for a lumbar support. Don't laugh. It sounds ghetto, but it's very comfy. Perfect for my sore back. It's just as comfy as our Linc Continental car seats. Yes.

Hmm. I may have to try something lik that if i dont find something soon. I may try to retrofit the lumbar out of an explorer too
