So in other words I need to do the test we've been talking about no matter what.

I just tried looking for a slosh module on Amazon and it kept charging it to SPLASH.

Is it just slosh module or is it anti slosh module?

anti slosh module - and they are repairable (replace the capacitor which is usually the only thing wrong) and even bypassable
if you bypass em then the gauge will act like an old 60's camaro.... you step on the peddle and the gauge goes down , bounces around ... corner it bounces around again.

But what does he mean when he's talking about the POT he's going to make and hook up?

Rather than diagnosis it via a tester (meter), he chooses to diagnose it through substitution (building a "pot" - potentiometer in the right 16-160 range that acts just like a fuel sending unit and then substituting it) in place of the fuel sending unit (hooking it to C118)....

If you rather "just fix it" you can spend 15 minutes diagnosing it with a meter, if you want to build things for the fun of building electronic gizmos - you can do what he did and spend 30 minutes doing the potentiometer math, then another 10 building a circuit, then 10 more testing by substitution.... my vote, spend $5 and get a DMM from harbor freight..

After watching your video I'm thinking with all we've talked about. Along with the symptoms the truck's giving me. It might just be easiest and fastest to pull the instrument cluster and by pass the sloth module.
