Does anyone know where I can find a solonoid type iac valve for my 2.5? From my research it looks like Hitachi or Motorcraft are the only way to go, but I can't find either anywhere. Can someone help me out?

Bump. I'm in the same boat. Has anyone found a source for a solenoid-type IAC for a 1998 2.5L? I've looked everywhere and tried several brands of stepper-type motors. So far I've ordered three--walmart, ebay, and summit--and all turned out to be unavailable.

Part numbers I've tried:
Motorcraft CX1654
Hitachi ABV0016

Are there any other solenoid-type IACs available?

I'm also on the lookout for an IAC for my 2000 2.5L. I'm struggling to fix a high idle, and I'm wondering if my replacement IAC is not working correctly. Anyone have any solutions for an IAC for these engines that actually works?

I have the same problem with my nineteen ninety nine mazda. I.
Replace my IAC And now the idle Is high When shifting, So i'm Unplugging mine.

you guys reset and recalibrate the idle setting after replacement?

this assumes you fully cleaned the tb and intake.

shit parts right out of the box is definitely an option from the parts stores....even motocraft and hitatchi....though thats rare.

assuming you cleared all codes and performed a standard idle relearn. which basically....reset ecm...start and let idle for 10 minutes or so. often the mass air meter can be part of it....loose hose or fitting from jankin around qith it or some dirt knocked loose ect...

Lately I've been thinking about the ford IAC's and whatever Ron would always say about the different types.. (solenoid vs. Stepper motor).. and how ford's really want one or the other..

So it's the solenoid type that's ideal? And the only real options for them are motorcraft & hitachi? I just peeked on rockauto and neither were available -__- mine is functioning.. but I'd hate for it to fail and then be left with a subpar replacement... perhaps i should give it a good cleaning. Installing a catch can would probably be beneficial in keeping it as clean as possible too.. no?

All codes were cleared, All new vacuum lines, New PC v valve. And no vacuum leaks. I even have.
Clamps On some vacuum lines. The IAC will only close when I unplug it. I forgot to let you know that I also have a brand new.Maf. Sensor. Everything is new, even the intake Gaskets And Throttle body gasket. The only thing I don't have is the EGR valve. The tube is on order and I blocked the exhaust and the throttle body.
