Huggyb1972's 87' Ranger 4x4 build

100x easier to work on the engine and 90% of your front suspension

I was thinking more for engine and suspension tweakin' ease. With my air bag setup it is gonna require some tuning.

I guess it would didnt think about it that way. Wouldn't the front of the engine be hard to get to though?

No not really the front would roll out and be completely out of the way or be removed totally. I really don't have much in the line of motor to work with yet the 2.3 is pretty easy to work on anyway why not make it real easy. The front end construction is far down on the list I'm just waiting to tear in and get the suspension moving along and then the cage followed by the drivetrain.

I just found your thread.....ain't it fun when the kids want to get in on the work :yahoo:

Its a fun way to kill some time and just hangout and she has been very interested in how things work so I will get to pass some knowledge, and work ethic on.

I thought I would get something done last week I was wrong the desire to go freeze my behind off rearranging my Ranger was not strong enough to over come the warmth of the woodburning stove. So it will sit for another few days maybe we will hit the 84* mark in March again like last year.

A nice warm couple of days and I was hitting it pretty hard

The engine cross member is gonna get a major overhaul once I get the boxing done engough I can put the motor back in and figure out what kind of clearance the cab has to it.
