How to get rid of police harrasment

Turbines work on a pressure differential, the greater this differential is, the more efficient the turbine is. An unrestricted exhaust creates the largest possible pressure differential. Pressure differential is what causes fluids to move from one place to another, the greater the differential, the faster they move.

Yes, but don't forget that a pipe that would intuatively seem to flow best doesn't.

EXAMPLE: you run a straight pipe oput of the turbine axially to the turbine shaft.

This not only doesn't work but works spectacularly poorly.

And at this point some reading this are going "Huh?"

PROPER design of a turbo exhaust system involves a fairly
tight 90degree turn right off of the turbine outlet.

Why? because the flow isn't straight out of the turbine it tends to spiral down the pipe taking a longer path.

And which direction the flow spirals varies depending on flow rate
and turbine rpm.

So a tight non-radiused bend, which would SEEM to be "Restrictive"
actually eliminates a restriction.

Yes, MR police, I have my complete stock exhaust line! :thefinger:

If they lean under the truck the only thing they can see is the half of the cata coming of the frame and the complete stock exhaust line. :headbang:

You have to live in Québec to fully understand that statement. Cops here don't use common sense (most of'em, anyway) to apply the LAW. Anytime they see something slightly modified, well maintained and that has a somewhat agressive look to them, They will harass you. Giving you fines, inspections etc and i suspect they do put your license plate number on a black list, to be able to harass you more and more.

Hell, back in the days, i got stopped by cops with my burnt orange 66 econoline cause i had mag wheels. The cop (a pretty young guy, thought) told me that WIDER tires made my truck to go faster than my speedo. I had to teach him, by putting my stock spare tire side to side with my mag wheel, that in that matter, the circonference was what influence the tire to speedo ratio.

And then, overhere, you have people running around in rotten throught beaters, unsafe ( i heard stories of mechanics that didnt want to lift a car cause it was so rusted out he was scared that it actually bend being lifted. another where the brake piston was carved into the disc, and it goes on and on) These people are usually on wellfare (they call it the BINGO) and whenever they get pulled over by cops and the car is sent to inspection, they just go buy another junk (the first day of the month, when it's BINGO time). (I don't mean to be rude on poor people, i'm not rich myself, lonely moms, sick people, etc. But when you see perfectly healty guys that could work just waste their life waiting for the governemental check, that pisses me off big time.)

So, modified, well-maintained vehicles= fines and money $$$

unsafe beaters? no money into it for the cops.

So it's more of a mathematical equation then a logical way to apply the law.

So maybe his truck is loud, but i'm sure as heck he can stop quick if a child get in his way. And i'm sure he's not worse on emissions than beaters that the hood doesnt even open anymore, stuck by rust.

So it's not that we are reckless and want to break the law... why even bother to stay within' the law? You'll get pull over for clear lenses, tinted windows, heck! a chrome exhaust tip, nice shinny wheels... a close friend to me got pulled over with his old yamaha virago, got a fine cause he had aftermarket exhaust, it was STOCK REPLACEMENT EXHAUST.... oh well, i could go on and on... i think you guys see the point.

I use to live in Alberta, everytimes i get my paycheck, i miss that time. (we pay a shitload of money to get that wellfare system going)
