Just wanted to show yall my 1991 Ranger 4x4 I bought the other month. It’s a 2.9l v6 152,000 miles on it. Used to be used by the forest service. Already done a bunch to it! Replaced the clutch kit, motor mounts, and got a new exhaust on it. Super happy with how she looks already. Paint isn’t perfect but it’s pretty.

Speaking as a guy who also bought an ex-govt Ranger that's 15 years newer than yours, you non-salt-belt guys continue to make me jealous and question living in the northeast. 😂
Welcome to TRS!

You still living in Canadia?

Paint looks awesome from where I'm sitting. Is it carbonized gray?

Yes kinda! It’s like a carbonized metallic gray with some sort of flake or something in it, I don’t know what you’d call it. Previous owner did that. I wish I knew so I could get a can to do touch ups.. I’ll have to take a close up pic of the paint! I’ll reply with it.

Bahaha I’m glad I don’t live in the salt belt, I’m in Colorado so it’s dry as hell don’t gotta worry about stuff like that. Cheers bro much love

looks pretty orange peel-y. Can be fixed easy enough.. just extremely tedious work.

Painting is annoying. Countless hours of prep, minutes of painting, then some more countless hours of cleaning & sanding.

I think it’s just way the paint is I don’t think it’s a user error, paint looks almost like it has a flake or sparkle of some sort too it.

That paint job looks way better than the paint on mine.

Welcome to the site.
