Help needed to diagnose an electrical problem

I believe the transmission is supposed to stay in first if first is manually selected.

Now the good news. There is no transmission wiring in the steering column. The column shifter moves a flexible mechanical cable that goes down to the shift lever on the side of the transmission. The electrical switch assembly for PRND21 is mounted at the shift lever on the transmission case.
Of course, yes, I should have remembered that as I had mine apart a few months ago.

Would it be one of these two? I don't think I disconnected and sprayed them.
I would check and clean both of those, the one on the lever should be the position selector sensor.

I do, as indicated in my post above from June 3rd. That's the first thing I replaced. Actually replaced twice due to a local mechanic's suggestion that I may have received a defective unit. If there are more, then I am unaware of the locations and would appreciate any tips. I also disconnected and used contact cleaner on both of these locations. Each time I try something I go for a test drive but always end up back home disappointed.
Sorry I missed that. The flashing OD off light usually means something in the transmission is failing or failed. Im not sure but it could put the trans into a protection mode. Still looking into it

I did some reading and it seems like a flashing OD light will lower line pressure.
