Help, I broke my truck

Ok I bought a 1998 Ranger 4 cyl 5 speed. The guy I got it from had all kinds of stereo equipment, power windows and alarm in it and while I was removing a lot of wires I started it several times (just to make sure it would crank) and then I pulled on some RCA wires running over the accelerator pedal going to the after market radio then it stopped turning over. Everything else works, A/C fan, lights, dash, everything: it just will not spin over. I jumped the starter solenoid and it will spin but not crank. The only thing I could think of is the clutch safety switch, is there anyway to bypass it?

Yea the alarm wasn't working anyway. All I was trying to do was get to the speaker wires coming from the radio and tie them to the speakers. The wires from the speakers were tied to an amp that I didn't want in the truck.

Is the plug still on the clutch switch?

Yea its still on.

The alarm normaly has a relay that prevents starting the truck. Recheck all wires the the alarm touched if you removed it.

Yea that's a problem because it was jumbled rat nest of wire that was already half disconnected. It looked like a 3 year old did the install.

Best bet is to get a schematic off your truck at http://search.ebscohost.com/

And start tracing and double checking.

Scratch that I'm not finding any wiring diagrams for the 88 ranger v4s, look in the tech section hopefully it is there

Sorry I posted this in the 2000 and newer section it's a 1998.
I did find a disconnected wire and got it spinning over with the key and no jumper, still don't have fuel or ignition.

Ok update. I gave up on it and brought it to a mechanic, but it's been 2 months and he hasn’t touched it so I'm going to pick it up when I get home in a week and try again. I can’t find any wiring diagrams for the 2.5 can anyone point me in the right direction please.
