Hi, Have a 1983 ranger rwd with a 2.8 v6. Just rebuilt the carb and it's leaking fuel from behind the pump relief valve assy. The fuel seems to be coming from a tube that runs behind the pump relief valve assy. and the tube runs into the accelerator pump. Any ideas how to fix this, this is my first carb rebuild. Also from looking down the tube with the fuel filter off there doesn't seem to be any threads for anything to screw in.

Is it possible to post up a picture? it's difficult to figure out exactly where you're leaking from.

Ok, called a local carburetor shop, they told me it could be a bad power valve and that the hole is a vent for it... problem i'm having believing this is truck never backfired or ran rich or anything.....

Well bought a reman carb. And low and behold the hole is plugged. Problem solved.....
