As a public service.... Watch out For Scorpion Liner.... https://scorpioncoatings.com/

A guy on Facebook posted photo's of the off brand "Scorpion Liner" he had done locally... Ohio I think. It was $100 less than Line-X.

Pretty nasty.... buyer beware.

Was this done by a place called scorpion, or the guy did it himself with this brand?

Either way good heads up. Hope he got a refund... most places wont even do it this time of year since it needs to cure above 55 degrees. Meaning your car needs to stay in a heated garage for 2-3 days minimum.

He's a young guy and had the liner sprayed at a local shop. Also had it undercoated and rustproofed. I feel sorry for the guy... he got totally screwed.

Talk about a shitty job! I would definitely be demanding a refund!

Good god I can only imagine what the so called "undercoating" looks like...

Said it once. Ill say it again. Rhino lining is holding up great in the Ram.

I've had great luck with Rhino Liners. Had it in my 08 Tundra and my 05 Tundra. LineX is probably just as good too, but I mean you get what you pay for, save $100 and well you see the results. I didn't think the $600 I paid for the Rhino Liner in my 08 Tundra was that much and they did a great job and sprayed it on nice and thick. When I sold the truck it was one of the great selling points too. The only downside is, if you set something heavy in the bed, don't expect to slide it anywhere, that Rhino Liner I swear acted like velcro, great at times, but no so great when trying to get stuff back out of the truck LOL.

One of the big reasons why I like a drop in liner. Easier to keep clean too. They also add rigidity to the floor of the truck.

Our 2019 Ranger has the factory applied "ToughBed" spray in liner. It, like all other spray in liners, is like 5 grit sandpaper. Being a guy that hauls finish grade lumber in his truck I really have to be careful not to slide the boards on the bedliner... it puts some nasty scratches on the boards.

A big deal? Not at all. A nuisance? Kind of. For sure a 1st world problem.

Everything I’ve read about Scorpion liner is that it’s ok... It’s no LineX. That, on the other hand, is 100% the guy spraying it did a piss-poor job. I’d be f’in furious if I paid someone to do that to my new truck... even if it was a 20 year old “new to me” truck.

Masking tape is not as easy to master as everyone thinks...

You sound like a candidate for one of those rubber bed mats. It will help keep the wood from sliding around but not mar the wood.

I had one of those rubber bed mats... one day I was on the highway doing around 75 and it decided to leave. :dntknw:

You probably spilled chowda on and pissed it off.

If anything the empty cans of chowdah in the bed should have helped weigh it down!
