Gt-12

better.. still doesn't seem correct tho, haha

actually nothing about you fits the term "bne stock"... You should be proud of that lol

ya,i guess the 'stock' ship has sort of sailed on this one.

so now i need to wait.the paint wiil have to cure for a few days before i want to risk spraying gelcoat on it....i figure tuesday or so should do it.

remember,it's just plywood and bondo...it would be cracking up in the first mile if i tried to run with it.

Hehe yep I know, was just kidding around, but you could at least say it had a composite structure. but once again your work amazes me. whats next out of your bag of tricks?

geez,i don't know.

i just sort of make it up as i go along.

'composite structure':icon_rofl:

How do you apply the PVA? We put it in the molds with a cloth that we dipped in liquid in a bucket... hope that stuff wasn't harmfull

that would work.

i usually use a paintbrush,or in some circumstances (like with this airdam)i'll spray it with my paint gun.as far as it being harmfull, outside of it drying the skin some(that's the alcohol part)i wouldn't worry about it too much.

the other products you were exposed to,like the gelcoat and resins,as well as the acetone you would have used for cleanup are somewhat more troublesome.

i think i figured out what to do next....

i dragged out the blueprint for the driveshaft tunnel,i think i might just see if i can get some interior stuff made.

ok....almost bone stock:icon_thumby:

"Slightly Modified"

That's the name that my former work leader bestowed on his Pro-Street Nova, but I feel like it fits your car as well as (and possibly better than) it does his. His lifted F-150 is "Slightly Modified II" can't remember the amount of lift but IIRC it's rolling on 38s or 40s. Ironically they are both red as well.

one of the guys that goes to a local mud bog is slightly mudified lol

i was watching the powerblock today musclecar to be more specific and they made a fiberglass hood the same way you are. at one point after the pulled the mould off the plug there was what looked like a big sheet of saran wrap they they pulled off to prep the mould but i dont remember them putting it on. is this one of the sprays they woulda used that dried to a sheet?

that sheet is the pva.once it dries,it's a sheet that peels off like saran wrap.you finish the cleanup with water, the pva dissolves instantly and washes off.

once done, the first piece turned out of this will have a total cost in the $300-350 range...each after that about $50-60.

Hmm... The Ranger is begging for a sweet hood, I've grown to love the scoop:D

Everything is looking just awesome Tom!
