for what it would take,i suppose i could just stick it in this thread too.

we've used up more space on idle chatter:D

Perhaps post in both this thread and also the 'submit info for tech library'. That way you get the few,the very few people not following this thread. Maybe a new 'fab your own tools' forum should be started?

Best bet for the press brake thread would be in the Fabrication forum

I'm following, too. I don't post much on this thread, been busy lately and decided to stay out of the way of all the genius energy going on here. But it's coming along quite well. I look forward to the progress every day.

I'm watching and admiring your work as well. I really wish I had all of the equipment that you've got. It looks awesome. Out of curiosity, do you have HP and torque numbers on that motor? I skimmed through but didn't see any numbers.

I'm not following anything, I just think you make a good drinking buddy. :icon_cheers:

:icon_cheers:

Would probably make a neat sticky ta boot!

i'll try to squeeze a bit of time in to get something going:icon_thumby:

This keeps up we'll need an AA section for the forums....

i don't have a drinking problem...
i drink,
i get drunk,
i build crazy cars....
no problem!

glad to have you along for the ride.still,it's good to get comments or questions from you guys, too.
sometimes just answering someone elses question can firm up an idea on how i'm doing something,or even change my direction on plans.

i don't have any firm numbers...theres quite a wide variety of hp numbers for these motors depending how they are set up(like most motors)and those numbers generally range from 300-600hp-knowing that the intake and exhaust are limiting factors on the stock setup, and that i'm not doing any internal modifications,i'm guestimating in the 400 range.
although really,i'm not too concerned about that.it's more about looking cool at this point,i don't need to go fast.i've lost my licence in the past....i'd like to keep it now.

I'm not following anything. I just show up and cool stuff has been done. Kind of have to agree with Topher.

Another couple of pita questions, how much fuel will the tank hold? Will you be putting some sort of inner fender in there to prevent the tank from getting hit by thrown up road debris? Don't want to get the tank punctured when you can light up the tyres in any gear at any speed.

i didn't actually figure out the capacity of the tank, just used up the room i had available.suffice to say that it won't be going on any long highway trips without a tanker following..

the tank will actually be inside the car, like in the original,so inner wells will still need to be built and tied into the floor and such.a cargo deck will be built over the tank, battery, and rear suspension like in the original.

turn up the volume and click on this.

keep in mind that it's a cold start,so full choke-throttle response will be improved once i get little things like a cooling system on it.

oh,and sorry about the image on the screen-i can't seem to edit out the beginning or end of the vid.
