Got coded PO401 and P0443. My Chilton book doesn't say how to test the EGR, only says how to change it. For the PO443, I'm going to do what they said to check, but I'm suspecting the Vapor Management Valve as the main suspect. The Charcoal Canister is giving me signs as bad as The Book says that fuel odors may be resultant from a bad canister and/or vapor leaks from Evaporative Emissions Control Lines and I smell them all the time while driving. The lines appear to be in good shape but I'm going to check them like they say.
Should I just change the EGR Valve straight away or is there a way to check it first? Any ideas for solving P0443?
Thanks,
