Going ALL THE WAY

4.0 should be here today or tomorrow with trans...Its still auto. I got them both for $800 and they were both rebiult 6000miles ago. Pic as soon as I get it.

FYI: I stopped working on the sub for NO reason, but its still in progress. I'll get back on that as soon as motor and trans is in.

wellll....Its in. :yahoo: ...It's not hooked up yet, but my rebiult 4.0 and trans are in!!! Ugg, can't wait to hear it run again....Its been almost 2 years :lame:

Arrg... repinning the harness. I need the other end of the 4.0 harness clip and pin it to the old 3.0 wires. Also theyres a smaller harness. Lastly I'll need a driver side 4.0 engine mount, and a new AC condencer, just casue I mashed the old one during the swap.

Yet my last chalenge and prob wont difficult. The Explorer 4.0 has 2 fuel lines running off the motor.......annnddd the Ranger only has 1 coming from the fuel tank. -_- sooo close yet so far from turning the key after 2 years of being in my driveway.

ugg. AC condenser and radiator are finally in...it actually looks like its meant to be. I still need to figure out the 2 fuel line setup. was wondering if maybe there was a 'T' fitting I can buy to run them into the original single line, but I'm wondering if that will cause an uneven flow and the fuel not being consistant enough to each side of the motor....any ideas?

you can get a fuel regulator that will take two in to one and keep what ever pressure you need.

Any idea of one that might work?

I see a few online but not sure which to get.

well...time to remove the pinstripes.

This is what i did for my steering set up. I used two flaming river joints, a borgerson telescopic shaft and a suport bearing. I can also give u a part numbers if u need them. The setup costed me $258. heres some pics of the setup
Going ALL THE WAY

Your will also will need to make a mount for the support bearing, some go from the cab itself and some go from the frame, heres mine.
Going ALL THE WAY

hope this helps, i also have the part numbers if u need them.
Truck is looking really good, cant wait to see it finished!!

Thanks man...if you could get some parts numbers you'd clear my stress!! I feared I'd be doing a guess and check setup to see what works. That looks really good and I'd appretiate it more than I can say.

Just glade i can help out, heres the part #
FR1781 is the 1" DD x 11/16"-36 spline u-joint that goes to the yota box
FR1716DD 3/4" DD x 3/4 DD u-joint that goes on the cab side.
450024 is the bogerson 24" telescopic shaft
FR1810 is the support bearing thats used to support the shaft

The only thing u have to do is make the mount for the support bearing.

On my steering shaft I achieved basically the same thing by using a combination of ford and Toyota steering shafts to get to my Toyota box. Just in case anyone else cares. But the flaming river stuff is way cool
