i like the coil buckets, they just seem like they could use some stiffining up.open back looks a lil sketchy in the strength department.im gona get the same ones and add plate and gusset for strength. nice job man.truck and color look real good!

Def agree. I'm going to lower them and weld in a cross plate on the back. It is 1/4" but I'd feel a little better about knowing extra strength is there.

good to hear, glad i didnt get any flack for downing ballistic parts. the added piece of mind is enough for me even if it doesnt need it,i feel better knowing its there.

Truck was put to side for a bit but back on it. 5.0 got. Ready to drop in. The 4r70w i got was Modular, not Windsor so need to get the right one still. Its prob a high mileage motor so Im not putting money into it. Once trycks is driving again ill start a clean HO motor biuld on the side for the b303 cam. Just current 5.0 could be ugly inside. So ill just run it for what its got left. Cleaned up what I could though.

Heres truck standing. Think Im at about 9" of lift and adjustable buckets still have 5" left for me but current hieght is nice.

5.0 and 4r70w are in! Now to plug in...still need to find a BW4406

Glad your still working on it! Looking real good so far

Thanks man. Just life and trying to get a career is all that slowed me down. But finally in a good position the life I wanted and bills are maintained so can get back to the real important stuff haha.

For the PATs install, I just tucked the Module behind the radio, anyone think thats close enough? Or .... Also Im using the factory ignition and key from my 98, and I DO have the chipped key for the transmitter, long as thats close to the ignition right?

Also...for the PATs install, I just put the transmitter on the ignition colum and plugged it into the module behind radio...am I missing something? Hows the transmitter getting power? (I understand the module does a radio frequency to the comp) just wondering if i missed something?

All there is to know about PATS (plus a dozen pages or so of q & a): http://www.explorerforum.com/forums...rything-you-wanted-to-know-about-pats.234975/
I'm glad my junk is pre-PATS. It was intended as a dealer service only thing meaning if it fails you gotta tow it to a stealership for service. The receiver module has a 7-10 year service life so you gotta keep your AAA topped up. JMO.
Great build, Kingoverace. :icon_thumby:
