HELLO FORD LOVIN MOTHER TRUCKERS!!!!!
This is my 1995 ford ranger xl, 2.3 ltr dual plug 4 banger
i bought this truck with 165,000 miles on it for $2200 bucks , apperently it was an auto parts delivery truck for ten years before i got ahold of it. the day i bought it , for work, io thought if i can get 10,000 mile out of the P.O.S. i'll be happy, so..... here we are 75,000 miles later and my little truck just wont die. I tow a trailer with it, i load it full of concrete , and drywall
2x4's what ever . it just keeps on going... so needless to say i have a new found respect for my ranger she's no longer a Piece of shit but an elagant old lady who deserves to be treated with dignity.
235,000 on it now and shes stronger than ever, shes a little old lady with a serious atitude problem. the thermostate went out so i replaced it , and while i was at it i gave her a new water pump , and radiator , and converted the cooling fan to electric , and after all that hard work do you know what that bitch of an old lady truck did??? while doing a u turn she broke the rear tires loose burned a patch of rubber about 15 ft long and ripped her motor mount right in half!!!!! with 235,000 miles my truck has never been better....
and even though a new cooling system and new plugs and wires seam to have breathed new life in to the old lady i cant help but feel like i should do more for my truck to honor its long life and hard work, this is where you guys come in , im torn i want more power and im not sure 5.0 v8? 4.0 supercharged v6 or should i rebuild my stock 2.3 and turbo charge it ? from what i understand all three options have perks . im going for a nascar truck look , street performance to smoke an unsuspecting mustang or better yet a gay little import racer.. but im not sure what the best option for a daily driver weekend warior truck is soooo any imput feed back or past experience would be great, along with detailed instructions on how to pull it off, and from what ive seen of this web site the knowledge of the how to should not be a problem ... thanks for the help R> H>
