Does anyone know what type of plastic the tanks in the 1999 ranger/ b series is made of? Thanks in advance

HDPE or High Density Polyethylene is used in the plastic gas cans and most gas tanks. I do not know what is used in the Ford gas tanks but I would think that is a good guess.

HDPE is probably the most common plastic in the world. Since it works so well, (especially for blow molding) it's uncommon to use anything else.
There should be a marking on it somewhere that tells. Assuming you can find it on a 25 year old tank.
