Ok another question for ya guys. I have a 83 Ranger XLT which has 2 gas tanks. The rear tank works great but recently i switched to the front for some reason or another and electrically it switches over and tells me how much fuel i have because that tank is absolutley full. But for some reason i was having issues running. So after dinking around i wasnt getting fuel to my carb. I later found out the tank selector isnt actually switching the fuel lines over but it is switching the electrical portion that reads the level of fuel in the tanks. How hard is this to fix and where would i go about getting this piece that switches between the tanks?

Sounds like a dead motor in the valve itself.

You need a 6 port valve. It can be found in other dual tank Rangers or Econoline Vans.
