ForOffRoadDriving's 94 Ranger Build

thanks nathan you been a big help in pointing out whats what, so how much closer should i try to get it? the pattern on the drive side looks 1/2 as big as the pattern on the coast side but the pic in the yukon guide says its acceptable, should i just settle for good enough or try something else to get the drive side pattern closer to the same shape marking as the coast side has? im reading through the yukon manual trying to pick up any bits that i missed, its alot more thorough than the richmond instructions!

Hey no problemo man. Run that gearset, youll be hard pressed to get it any better Id bet. Yea something looks off about the flares. I think your truck looks better without them personally.

I'd trim the edges back to an angle. They end too abruptly. Also, your tires don't really stick out beyond the fenders, so that may have something to do with why they Look a little off.

You should get the flat mount style and cut out your fenders......

No, but I also vote no on the flares, they look funny with the stock flare showing. Are you gonna put wider rims on there to fill the overhang?

well i was hoping that they would start to grow on me, but other than doing what i wanted them to do (keep my truck cleaner-ish) they fail miserably at looking cool. i think if i were to get wider wheels and tires (31X10.50 as opposed to my 30x9.50) they might not look so out of place. from a distance they look pretty cool (50+ feet) but up close they make the wheel wells look no existant and you can see the wrinkles/ puckers and the fact that they are cut too short. at least the holes i drilled were small enough to fill in with a simple spot weld!

i also wanted to mention that i cured my wandering steering issue that was mentioned 4-5 pages ago. it turned out to be bad ball joints on the passenger side, they werent worn out enough to make any noise but now that ive got some fresh ones in there it drives straight and the steering feels much tighter again!

kirk i also vote no on the flares... :bad: they look to cheap for your nice truck just my .02...

O btw i might be joining the ranger club again for ike the 5th time:D.. my f250 has been giving me starting probs which i think i have fig. out but im tired of not having a truck that starts all the time and i found a 4 banger 5 speed ranger i might snatch up...

One more thing not sure if you know it or not but JEFFS BRONCO GRAVEYARD is having there swap meet/car show down at there shop in brighton on saturday..

i took my first lunch break fishing trip the other day and took some pics of the truck from different angles to get a better feel for the flares. im going to do some trimming on the front ones to see if i can make them look any better, but chances are theyre coming off.
