Fixing up my extended cab.

I have a set of mirrors from 91 Explorer that I'm going to use on my 88.

I seem to remember on "Trucks" back when Stacy was doing it, he installed a superdome and a few months past that he said that it too had blown out at highway speeds

Robert

thats an interesting little factoid, wish I could see those episodes now.

That could be one reason why they don't make superdomes anymore !?!, I know that shortly after Stacy did that one, and then came back a few months after and said what happen, I never seen the superdome advertisements anymore.

Well Good luck, you might what to see about doing some other type of hold down on it.

Robert

I know they went out of business around 2004 or 2005. When was that show?

Alright...heres a pic of it with one of the mirrors somewhat mounted on there, still needs a little more work, and I need to paint them obviously.

man I wouldn't go THAT far, but thanks I appreciate it!

i HONESTLY would, that's why i nominated you for TOTM

Well thanks, I suppose if you want to nominate me you can, since I at least have pictures of it clean lol.

how do those head lights attach .. I was looking at geting a set .. I see no screw holes in the front to attach them

They attach just like the chrome outer trim, they clip in on the bottom, and two phillips screws hold it in on the top.

wow the truck looks amazing im doing the same floor raise with my 88 v8 swap becaus i am running a 5" aluminul driveshaft out of an 02 gmc ext cab it was actually 1/2" longer than i needed and fit perfect except i have to raise the cab of the floor if i want to lower the truck

Man that really sucks about the 'dome. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

For those of you that want to sandblast a small area, and NOT fill the interior with sand.....
Use a "spot sander" ( The type that look like a paint gun, with adapters that fit unusual areas like corners, crevices, and curves) northern tool (princess auto) carries them for about 20 bucks
