lol. I talked to some people at the minitruck show I went to this weekend, one guy I know through another forum says his Grandpa owns a plastic machining company in Canton ( www.universalplasticsmachine.com ) and he could get me a sheet of tinted acrylic for pretty cheap. I say acrylic because thats what the original was made out of, I looked at it and its stamped right on it next to the DOT stamp, lol.

Anywho, heres I pic I snapped this morning..

If nothing else you could make a sliding rag top..

I haven't worked on the '94 since November when I took the windshield to the glass guy to get it cut, which he still hasn't done, but I'm in no hurry.

I also spent about an hour wiring up the license plate light. I was browsing the autozone next to my work, and found a license plate frame that lights up both red and white, its a stealthy led frame. I wired the white up for a license plate light, and ran a wire to the brake pedal switch for the red, so it acts as a third brake light too! I'm pretty stoked, its a neat piece for $20. I'll get pics of that when I have it all soldered and mounted and I have the taillights painted and installed.

Do you like the headlights ... hows the quality .. I really want to get a set but the price for them is a little hi..

Yep the headlights are nice. They fit great and aligned perfectly. I didn't think the price was too bad honestly, I think I paid about the same for the diamond cut lights I had before.

well if the build quality is good I have no problem paying the 150 that i have found them for .. I just couldent find any reviews on them I had asked if anyone had used them in the lighting section with no response..
I guess I know what my next purchase will be ..

This months truck of the month (iron ranger) has them too. Theyre definitely worth it i think. Just make sure whoever you get them from has good feedback.

I just notice, you don't have any side mirrors, don't Ohio require them???

They require us to have one rear view mirror. As long as you have a clear view behind you, you are good.
Since Zman doesnt have a roof or rear window, i think he is good with just the windshield mirror lol

I wanna know how he moved the fuel door...

I wanna know how he moved the fuel door...

I would say with a cutting wheel, and welder, and then used a BII tank

I need my side mirrors, after all the years of driving Big Rigs, I have come to depend on them very much.

That is such a gorgeous truck.....Nice work. But since you did't shave the door handles you really should consider mirrors.

thanks guys. I have some pictures somewhere in this thread...i used a aerostar van fuel door, and a rear tank out of a dual tank ranger. As for mirrors, I'm using street scene mirrors for a 93+ ranger, you may have noticed the piece of metal I welded in at the front of the window frames on the doors. I just haven't finished the mirrors yet.

I have a set of mirrors from 91 Explorer that I'm going to use on my 88.

I seem to remember on "Trucks" back when Stacy was doing it, he installed a superdome and a few months past that he said that it too had blown out at highway speeds
