I'm going to guess they are from the Fox Body Mustang "Ten Hole" (aka "Phone Dial") wheels.

Arent these caps flat and not bow out like the caps in question?

I think they bow out a little. I have a two of these rims I kept for some drag radials, so I'll dig out the center caps and look.

my caps are also plastic, but I know they all came with numerous different sets of caps.

I've seen those before. I am pretty sure those only came on the 4 cylinder towards the end of the Fox Body run. Mine are metal.

So were they on the 14" wheels from the 4cyl?

You could get the 10 hole 15's as an upgrade. I think it was 91 and newer because it was the first year of the pony wheels.

My buddies Grandma still has a 93 4 cylinder convertible that came with them.

93 also had 16" rims iirc, they changed somewhere in the early 90's... they changed the fenders too, the openings are slightly bigger in the newer foxbodies than the late 80's... i had an 89, which had 15's and the smaller wheel openings

Well I almost cried tonight...

Sorry you guys won't be getting pictures of it with the superdome installed...thats what I get for being immensely stupid. Didn't have the straps pulled tight enough (though they were pretty tight!). And decided to do a "quarter mile pass" down my road.
