I BUY THE BLOCK OF THE 2.3T LIKE 3 YEARS AGO LOL,AND WAS IN HOLD THE PROJECT

ALWAYS I TAKE FOREVER WITH MY PROJECTS
,I START LAST YEAR PUTTING TOGETHER THE ENGINE,AND NOW WITH 2 BABYS IS MORE HARD TO HAVE SPARE TIME I HAVE A NEWBORN OF 5 MONTHS NOW 

I SAW THE CAR(MERKUR) IN THE JUNKYARD AND THE ODOMETER SAY 87K,AND I DONT BELIEVE WHEN SOMEBODY TAKE HEAD AND LOOK LIKE THIS

I OPEN THE ENGINE,AND HAVE ALL MEASUREMENT OEM SIZE!! THE MAIN BEARINGS AND ROD BEARINGS WAS STOCK SIZE AND FROM FACTORY HAVE THE FORD STAMPS IN THE BACK,SO I PUT NEW RINGS,NEW MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS!!
AND I AM LITTLE LAZY TO CLEAN REALLY WELL THE TOP PART OF THE PISTONS

I BUY THE HEAD FROM CRAIGLIST AND WAS FROM 96 AND UP THE ONE IS SMALL AND VALVES AND SPRINGS AND THE MANIFOLD INTAKE DIFFERENT PATTERN,AND ROLLER ROCKER SMALLER


IN ONE OF MY WEEKLY WALK AROUND AT THE JUNKYARD I FOUND A THUNDERBIRD TURBO
,AND I TAKE ALL THE TOP PART OF THE ENGINE (INTAKE,EXHAUST MANIFOLD,TURBO AND HEAD),FOR MY RUSH AND I DONT CHECK THE CAM AND FOLLOWERS HAVE A LOT OF WEAR 


I SCORE OTHER CAM IN THE JUNKYARD WITH NO WEAR AND ROLLER ROCKERS FROM A 93 RANGER

LET SWAP THAT CAM

WITH CAM AND ROLLERS ON IT


I SEND TO THE MACHINE SHOP THE HEAD AND WAS IN GOOD CONDITION THE HEAD AND I REUSE ALL THE VALVES AND GUIDES!! ONLY WAS TWISTED FOR THE OVERHEATING,AND SENDING BACK LOOKING LIKE THIS!!


AND NEXT TO THE OTHER HEAD
(IS LONG GONE I SOLD ON CRAIGSLIST AGAIN AND GAIN COUPLE BUCKS )

I PUT TOGETHER THE ENGINE AND USE FELPRO GASKETS,AND TORQUE TO THE SPECS !!

NOW IS ALMOST COMPLETE AND I HAVE LIKE 5 MONTHS I DONT TOUCH THE ENGINE
,ONLY I NEED TO PUT THE RAIL OF INJECTORS AND MODIFY THE WIRE HARNESS BECAUSE IS NOT FROM A TURBO CAR!!


THAT BLOCK WAS V BELT AND MODIFY TO BE SERPENTINE BELT!!
