Stuff happens, the sign of a true winner in my book is someone that keeps going on anyway. Once you make it through the tough spots, the finish line will be much sweeter.:icon_thumby:
On the tranny, my first thought is that the torque converter wasn't engaged all the way.:dunno:
I don't have a second thought, your lucky to get one from me:D
Good luck,

Richard
OK maybe a different thought; I couldn't tell from the pic, I would suggest that the dimples should face up on your foot support.

the dimples are facing up, so you get more grip..

yea we had the TC engaged, we had an 1/8" to go to have the trans completely on... we were on the two main alingment pins and just gave it a lil push from behind to get that last 1/8 and it snap... i would reweld it if it wasnt the main hole that the alingment pin goes into... the billet one is a lot nicer though... just trying to find stuff to do until that shows up.

we made some custom secondary door latches, updates in a few

Here is our secondary door lock...its nearly complete only thing that is not done is our red ball knob, we had to order them offline since we wanted a red one. Whats nice if you do not unlock it all the way up, when you close the door it lock its self into position. Very simple and much easier to use for me then having to reach across and behind to undo a bugpack latch.

Can you post some more pictures of your cage on the inside, and where it comes out the back into the bedcage, I need Ideas, its about time to order some tube for my truck

sure... I can get you some pictures... there use to be these really cool grommets that bolted on each side of the sheetmetal and the tube went through...im trying to remember who made them and if their still around... if you really want to do a cage i suggest buying a score handbook, very informative.. there also other fabrication books out there... ill post tomo night for you

I already have a handbook, and I am building it with a guy who has already built a score tagged cage, which means he's doing the welding but I will do some bending and notching and stuff like that

sounds cool.. yeah ill get you pictures..i personally like the sub frame designs better on ranger.. my first cab cage was built that way.. then it was removed and had a 2" put in there with no sub frame

here you go man, we did not do the main cage.. there are some thing will be doing differently when we build our full tube truck... the bottom tube that goes into the bed should of been higher in the joint and went straight into the other tube.... basically we welded plates to cage and cab to try and fix what was done and make it stronger... for your B pillar if I were to do it in a cab again, I would cut into the inner cab skin and tuck it close to outer skin and go straight down to a sub frame... we did not have much room to set our seats up because they were not tucked very well.

If you have any questions let me know, after we tried to fixed the rear and cab.. when it came to front we were like its just easier and faster to start from scratch.

As we wait for the new bellhousing to get here we are tying up little things that we can finish. One thing we had been putting off was fixing all our NEW shocks, two needed new aluminum ring seals in the resi (this was a manufacturing issue). When we refilled the oil of one of those we found another shaft damage that would have to be replaced. I had found a rear coilover shaft damage last year when we order the 2" ends to replace the previous 1" the first shop put on without soft jaws. We replaced that shaft, its actually the new shaft the sway a ways come in. So I need to order another shaft to fix the one bypass and we need to put the 2" long ends we got for the rear bypasses on. It really upsets me the amount of money I paid for these new shocks and the condition they are in with never being ran. I was considering letting things go with the previous work but now its not just fabwork... it is brand new parts that I paid for and entrusted him with. You really have to be careful in this industry, live and learn.

well this confirms everything I have heard about SAWS

if you are hinting at bad things... these things beside a bad batch of rings cut at machine which SAW took care of and priority ship the new rings to me, all the other problems were the negligence of a so called shop... the tops and bottoms of all my shocks are gouged because of the poor craftsmanship in the old shock mounts... our new mounts front and rear we did come no were near the bodies of the shocks. Just really upsets me having 10K in shocks looking used, makes me wonder if he didn't switch out my shocks. I know they will not stay new, but i never even got to see them new and having to buy all these parts to fix issues he caused.

However SAW has been awesome and they will right there with us helping us tune the shocks.

$10,000 in shocks? You got ripped off BIG TIME man! Your typical walk in customer will pay less then 5gs for what you have including bump stops. That sucks to hear man!

Hi Dave.... I did not say I paid 10k, I said to have 10k in shocks... remember Sway A Way is one of my main sponsors. As far as 10k worth I exaggerated by like 2500 and you under-exaggerated by 2500.

If a walk in customer went to poly performance and bought what I have, hear is what it would cost them.

2- 2.5" triple bypass piggyback 18" travel, $893 each
2- 2.5" triple bypass remote reservoir 14" travel. $893 each
2- 2.5" threaded body remote reservoir 16" travel, 448 each
2- 2.5" threaded body remote reservoir 14" travel, 448 each
4- 2.5" dual rate coil-over kits, $94 each
4- 2.0" bump stops 4" travel, $253 each

That amounts to $6,752 and tax is $597.55
So out the door you are at $7,349.55, I just like to really thank Sway A Way for their support.

I will be looking into switching bypasses out for 3.0's next year, will just put the 2.5" on my prerunner.

So any pictures on those spindles yet Dave.... your beams are going to be on the truck again for the OR expo, were talking to our sponsors right now about possibly taking truck to Sand Sports Expo and Sema as well.

I am in CA until Monday so updates, hopefully I will come back to an installed transmission with billet bellhousing

Actually I was only of by $859.95 off after tax. I get to finish the new King pin spindles at the end of next month finally. Been super busy so time has been limited for me...plus summer time I try to stay out on the water more then on land haha! :D
