figured I'd start a build thread, and hopefully i get everyone opinion, and maybe some tips along the way as well.

my vehicle - 98 Mazda b2500 2.5l 5-speed, standard cab, short box

I have already replaced the timing belt and spark plugs, put a stainless 2.3l header on it, new egr pipe, rewired a few rotten cables changed the fuel filter, and a few sensors. I picked the truck up for cheap and plan to make it a dd that I can still take off road, haul my toys, or just to go camping.

here are some pics.

holy hell. talk about cab off refurb. Thats awesome, if i could have my truck off the road for a month, id do the exact same. paint the frame, and go over EVERYTHING.

so with out having any welding gas to continue on the cab corner, i sarted sying my interior, i didnt get many pics because it was dark, but i took a pic of my carpet that i have dyed black and the drivers seat. they are all black now but i was playing around and decided to only paint the darker section with its first coat. also the cable at the end is the power harness. its junk, so i exposed the whole wire and will be rebuilding it with better thicker gauge wire.

here are a couple pics, ill post more later on in the week.

where do you get that fabric dye?

you can get it anywhere that sells duplicolor, its vinyl and fabric dye, 9.99 a can (around here) and comes in gloss black, flat black, grey, tan, and a few other colors.

i like what your doing, i plan to do a complete restoration on my truck if i ever get a sencond vehicle and cash, looks like your gona be hanging on to that truck for a long time.

thanks guys!, i plan on getting it ready for this winter, so i have a lot of work to do in a short time, but once its all done i will hopefully have a very reliable truck.

some new updates, cab corner is on, welded in place. the cab is off the truck, most of the interior is dyed and ill be ordering my James duff blue poly cab mounts and a p/a body lift shortly. once i get everything ground down ill paint with DOM16 and throw the cab back on.

here are some updated pics for now.

this is after the first coat, need to hit with a second to make them darker.

Looking good! thats insane how much work your putting into that truck, especially if you not turning into something crazy.

also, quick question. where in the hell did you find rancho's for the front of your truck? I cant find them for mine, and am going to have to sell my rs5000's out back

ya i know, its only getting lifted 8" but will be my DD, so i want it to be reliable, and with the winters around here if i dont take care of it now it will just fall apart. plus getting the truck for 600$ helped.

where in the hell did you find rancho's for the front of your truck?

i bought mine at partsource, they went on sale at crappy tire so i got them to price match them. 200$ for all 4 4x4 rs5000's with 2.5" lift capability

ok maybe thats what im missing. im looking for them for stock. can you take a picture of them and post it or PM me it? i just wanna see if it similar to mine.

thanks
