It's the rear one and not sure on how it got cracked. I do know that it was leaking when i bought the truck and maybe when i changed the R&P i might have cracked it then? IDK. No diff cover but I was able to JB weld it for now. While I had it in the garage, I got the skid plate mounted.

Starting tomorrow i will be pulling the front axle to redo/modify the coil spring mounts on the axle. I am going to move the spring mount so the coil will be directly on top of the axle instead of in front of it. Have a jeep guy here at work look at it and suggested it would work. So hopefully everything will go ok because i am planning a trip to Bundy Hill on July 8th.

Cant see any problem with it, if your going to buy a locker might as well do it for now. What kind of locker are you going for in the rear?

I've heard of a thing called doing fuzzy spider gears/locker(thread somewhere here on it), allows you to take the spiders out later and replace them and you can still use your carrier later on if you want.
