Escorts 2nd SAS

Yeah yeah. I just wanted to check everything before i went out and beat on it and break something.

Me wanty your trucky!!!!!!

I just remembered that I have car ramps in my garage...may play with my truck on them and check everything sometime, see if anything is binding up and see when my shocks max out on me and if anything else is hindering my flex (yes the TRE trackbar doesnt help but cant afford one like you have right now).

Well.... The carrier bearing didnt last long. The rubber isolator is shot. That was a brand new one i put on there when it was on the other ranger.
Guess i better find a one piece driveshaft ASAP!

Went to a few JY and a take-a-part and no luck with driveshafts. So, to get the truck up and running I broke down and bought a new carrier bearing from AZ. They were the only store that had it in stock. Got it all put back together, took it for a drive. Is much better as far as vibrations above 30mph, those vibrations are gone but still happens in first gear under acceleration. Hopefully this will get me by for now...

Since I had it driving again, went and had a little fun in my normal spot. Usually it is extremely muddy, but since it hasn't rained here for over 3 weeks it was almost dried up. So not much mud to play in. Gotta love the 4.0L! No longer do I have to use low range to go through the slightest mud...:icon_twisted:

If photobucket would stop having problems I could upload a short video....

Since the trans swap I still do not have a speedometer cable. I need to just break down and order one.

Here is a pic once I got home. Like I said not much mud. Now if I could figure out how to get the video to work...

Does it not rain there? It rained for 2 days here. Wish i had a normal spot to go get my truck muddy without the law saying no. Neled an offroad park around here.

I use low range, high drives to fast where i went.

It's been dry like this for the last couple summers. Tons of rain in the spring and dry ass summer. That is why I wasn't to happy to have my truck 2wd during all the rain.

Attica is only 30 miles or so from you. I drive 19 miles to where I just went earlier.

Usually the one mud/water hole is deap enough to get the headlights wet. I have never gone through that one, seen a truck stuck there before. Got a video I will post later. Photobucket having problems...

As soon as I get the winch on my truck and spare parts I need and all the little whatnot stuff for my truck then I should be good. Though I hate to go alone. This is all making the todo list and cost list to go up will be all worth it in the end.

Photobucket finally cooperated. Here is the video. Didnt get the mud hole in the video, I have a mount for my phone that vibrated loose and all it recorded was the top of the dash. :dunno:

I need to make a dash mount for my video recorder.

Finally have a new diff cover. My brothers friend finally gave in and sold me his extra one off his 98 cobra. All it cost me was a six pack of beer and a pack of smokes. Now i can get it to stop leaking and since the cover will be off i might weld the spiders and/or side gears.
But that wont happen till wednesday. Back to work tomorrow and tuesday. Been a nice week off for shutdown.

My dad also had a week shut down at his work too (Alchoa). I would go for a fuzzy locker, not like you are beating on your truck everyday and taking her the extreme.

fuzzy locker

well.. i pulled out my iphone and tried it, but my phone doesn't correct aussie to fuzzy... but i'm assuming you mean aussie locker.

if that's the case, i agree. i personally wouldn't weld a DD, i know some people have and will, that's their opinion, but i wouln't.
