Escorts 2nd SAS

i like the look of the factory bumper with the winch. i was debating on finding another stock bumper to do that to before i made my most rescent. even tried stealing the b-inlaws off his 2ed ranger. he didnt think the huge tube bumper would look good rolling around on 215's

I am thinking of the stock look and hide the winch and you wont see it unless you actually look for it or see me use it..... but i think the bumper will have to stick out more than normal so i am not sure how it will work. seen this idea on a new grand cherokee either on the jeepforum or cardomain....

i think itd be as good idea i was thinking of that when bray was looking for a bumper. just build a plate across the frame like cheap thrills b2 did on his EB then thrw the stock bumper overtop with a fold down liscense plate hiding the fairlead

there are a couple on here like your talking bout. there is one i'm still trying to find and he did a great writeup on it. but here is one to kinda give u and idea

thats what i want but would like the fairlead up higher on the bumper in the opening.

do iiiiiit lol its a night and day difference when your wheeling

Yep. Already ordered it earlier today. Was wanting a lockrite but the sale fell through. Oh well the mini is alot cheaper.

Small update..... Finally got the transfer case shift boot put on. Got it off ebay, it's for a mid 70's cj7. What a PITA... I made the mounting ring for it.

I originally had the stock shift boot that had the two cup holders on the side and when I cut the carpet out for the TC shifter, the cup holders covered the hole in the carpet..... now I need to find a piece to patch it

a driver with a spool or welded diff is not a good idea if you drive alot of miles unless you have full floating axles or a disk brake swap....

busted alot of shafts and seen some sad shit when doing this with c clip axles.

Why disk brakes? What does that have to do with anything. I am going to try the mini spool instead of welding to see if I like it. I can always take it out and sell it.

the disk setup will keep the wheel on at least.

with larger tires, the stock 28 spline shafts bust like the shape of a pencil at the splines....sucks ass as its almost impossible to smash the busted spline stubs out without tearing it down...

with drum brakes you lose the wheel and axle...

on a ff/sf or disc setup you can keep from totally losing the wheel.

Ok I see what your saying. I will try it and see what happens. I got the spool for cheap, about half price for new so.....
