hey guys. my cousin and i are going to change out the engine on his 99 Ranger 3.0 ffv. I'm having a hard time finding an ffv. I did some research on this site and just wanted to make sure i understood everything before i start anything, but. if i replace the engine with a none ffv i need to change out the pcm, fuel rails, and fuel injectors? is this all i have to change over? i was just a little confused with a few topics i found on this and just wanted to be clear on everything. thanks guys in advance.

If you use the fuel system parts from the current FFV engine on your replacement engine you should be just fine. I did the same swap on my Dad's '99 4WD FFV truck about a year ago and it runs just fine and gets 21 MPG on the highway.

You reuse the injectors, pcm and fuel rails that came with the truck. I just did this with a Taurus 3.0 non flex fuel to my flex fuel ranger(with the head gasket swap)
