I have a spare 1354 Manual Transfer Case that I am going to put in my 1999 Ranger. The output to the front diff on the older manual case is a double Cardan Joint, and the 1999 front drive shaft uses the Constant Velocity joint at the transfer case.
Are these Transfer case yokes interchangeable, or do I need to use the double cardan?

Well the Propeller joint(CV) was prone to failure so I would use the double cardan

And I think you have to disassemble transfer cases to swap connections

On the front top of manual transfer case there is a 2 wire connector, these are Grounds for 4WD lights, one for 4high and one for 4 low
Not needed for operation but available if you want

I do have all the parts to rebuild the Cardan Joint, so knowing it is the stronger option, I will do that. Thanks for the information.
