Does anyone know the production numbers on the 1988 ranger stx?

im about to get a 1988 ranger stx non highrider, and i know theyre rare, but how rare? It would be cool to have specifics on how many where made. I have no idea if thats even public information or not but if anyone knows it would be someone at ranger station right?
