disciplerocks's B2 build thread

I don't mean to take this off topic, but seeing that you just did a heck of a job building the transfer case, and all, I figured you might know the answer to this.

My sister has a 74 F250 4x4 with a 300 inline 6 and 4 speed bulldog trans, it has a single stick transfer case.

the problem is that the truck at 50 mph is really winding the engine.
the question is "can a single stick transfer case be stick on the low side and still shift to 2wd? "

and I have no idea what trans case is in it

You got it to go 50 mph?! My dad had that truck u were lucky to get it to do 80km/h.... they arnt meant for daily driving or going fast. its meant to pull shit theyre good at that. Id say ur probally getting as good as u can

The answer is no, and while I'm not familiar with the tranny/tcase in question, the fact that its a 4 speed means you don't have overdrive and you'll be hitting high rpms on the highway.

Speedo cable from the F250 I got the front shaft from. Maybe now my speedo will work.

Phew been busy. All thats left is to wire this up and make an attempt to re-weld the rear.
