disciplerocks's B2 build thread

you need to make a nice clean edited list of what it took exactly to make your doubler work once its all done.

I can do that, but there really are so many things that can be done differently.

Do you have a picture so I can compare? Thanks

There are a couple in here somewhere. I replaced it right after the flop which was June. I'll see if I can track them donlwn later.

Here ya go. I picked one up from the u-pull to make sure it fit. And used the reservoir off it. All I had to do was route the lines to the opposite side.

Ok rear driveshaft is done. Ended up swapping the rear flange out for a yoke off an F150. Now I have a yoke on both axles and both ends of the tcase.

And I think I found part of my measurement error. I must have measured with the slip yoke from a front shaft and then installed it with the slip yoke off a rear. I was still off a little, but now I know my error and can use the other shortened one as a spare. Here you can see the difference.

Hmm, didn't mean to get a huge DOF in the pic, but you get the idea.

Here's a better pic of the rear shaft.

It looks like the drive shaft will bind when the rear end stuff's?

might have some slip to it. the boot looks like it is still around the splined area. but not somthin to mess around with. damaged case wouldnt be fun just after putting them in

I'll have to pull it and install without the boot. And the rear will be raised about 3/4" here pretty soon.

Crossmember. I was going to build a complete new one out of 1.5" square tube, but got lazy. Kinda want to get this done so this is what I did.

I'm getting deja-vu reading this. haha

Your crossmember looks familiar:

Now go do some double low burnouts!

I was actually reading your build thread last night after deciding to mod the stock xmember instead of building my own.

BTW, what are ya gonna do with your tires if you find some 37s?

I planned for that to be temporary and build a new one. Almost 4 years later - still rockin it. haha

Seems like it was yesterday I was doing the same thing. It's fun to go back and read through that stuff.

New crossmember installed. And I find that the Explorer sport rear shaft wont work. Need one thats 36.5" static length (center of u-joint to center of u-joint).
