Diesel powered, ALL FORD 05 Ranger

Sleep well, because the other 6.0 ranger just ran a 10.7X at 129. Its a full tube chassis and very mild motor, but that is a damned good time.

That is 1 BAMF Ranger! I don't wanna go THAT crazy with mine but what's the deal with that front bumper? Is that a bolt-on part for a Ranger? It looks like a Saleen F-150 front clip. It looks FRICKIN' AWESOME! I have an '09 2WD 2.3L 5sp. XLT...do you know if that bumper would fit my Ranger? Also, any suggestions on tuning the 2.3L? You definitely seem to know what you're doing! I'd like to get 200hp without forced induction if possible...the truck only has 18k on it & I got it new so I'm not in any rush b/c I'd like to be under warranty for as long as possible.

The bumper is a stock bumper on the STX model, and it should fit no problem on your 09. As far as your 2.3, I don't know a lot about gas motors. I am sure there are a ton of folks on here that do though.

Got the call from the machine shop and all the parts have been salvaged. Woo hoo, motor next week........again.

Sweet. Get that thing back together!!

Quick question, I didn't see it anywhere in the thread, but what turbo's are you running?

On my 2.5L I run my Garrett T4oE With stage 3 turbine and comp in the summer(because its water cooled) and my 16cm HX35 in the winter. I have a tune for one or the other.

Borg Warner s-300 with an S-480 feeding it.

All the parts are at the shop. Should start the rebuild tomorrow, and have a motor by next week.

ok i got a big ? for you

i spent alot of time scrollen threw all this and cant find what rearend u are running please let me know soon

Its a 10.5 sterling out of a 2004 F-250. 3:73 gears, narrowed, after market axles, and strong as hell.

could u help me out

ok im in the middle of maken a mini lighting im droppen a built up mustang 5.4 into a ranger and putten out close to the 800 on torqe and need to build up a new axle could u give me the names of who did that axle shorting and all that stuff would be a big help. and by the way that truck is awsome definetly one of a kind. ive secne the guys do the cummins swap but they use the old manual injection pump so they aint got to do all that wiring so the is a true show a ford power and a true ford beast

So I didn't ever see it posted but what was all the black stuff that looked like graphite? I understand low pressure caused a problem but what exactly plugged the screen? I would guess is that you're running RP oil that has heavy amounts of moly that agglomerated and fell out of (or was pulled out of) suspension when it hit the screen. Did you sample it?

Filter media from when it blew out.

backhalf questions

hey i saw on one of your other sites u got a backhalf kit for your truck where did you get it from

OUCH! those pictures are painful to look at! Glad you were able to salvage it, hopefully it works properly this time. That's one badass build. Really can't wait to see a video of it smokin up the track!
