I am installing a Eaton e-locker in my HP Dana 30 soon and I have some issues I need some information on. From what I have read I need different bearings from the ones that come in the install kit with my gears. I need LM102949 bearings and LM102911 races for the carrier. For what I have seen and read through some extensive research that the shims need to be installed between the bearings and the carrier, but the stock Dana 30 shims don't fit! I don't know if this is true or not but this is what I need to know. I plan on calling Eaton tomorrow but I wanted to see if anyone knew if that is the case. I searched Jeep forums and found that Dana 44, GM 8.8,7.5 and Ford 7.5 shims will fit, can anyone second this.?
