daily doubler build

That's interesting, never heard of the place.

Kelly - tree sliding down the side of my bed. The bed was a bit more ductile than the tail light. It was loud as heck when it popped too.

Truck is amazing Bray. Sorry to hear about the carnage to the truck. Brads yota looks a bit worse though.

Updates, yeah. Added a tab off my shock mount that runs to the top of my frame rail, and added a verticle gusset that runs the length of the shock mount to the upper tab - if you follow that haha. aannddd did some wheelin. Went to Chubfest last weekend with a couple buddies.

very cool little weekend warrior. Looks solid.

Just read this entire thread and I love the truck. You busted your butt getting this truck done. Everytime I read somebody doing their SAS, I just want to do mine that much sooner!!!!

Great work and wheel hard.

Thanks guys, its getting there. There's still a couple things I'd like to tweak with the SAS, but it does well on the trails. Its a great feeling when you all convoy there and you're the only one not on a trailer, then you convoy home you're the only one not broke :D

Thanks Tim, the doubler is the bomb. Best mod I've done hands down.

No brakes, the camera man wanted me to have my parking lights on for some reason. Watch the 3rd brake light. I do ride the brake coming off of larger rocks sometimes though, so the drop isn't as harsh.

Bray I would like to meet up with you one of these days and look at your doors. I need to finish my SAS on my 88 and then I want to be able to take the doors off. I just want to see how you did it and go from there.

Thanks!

Brett - its super simple. I just cut the pins that the door hinges on, and drilled out the holes so they accept a bolt (the holes on the door side of the hinge are a different size than those on the truck side of the hinge). I cut the threads off the bolts and turned alittle groove in em to accept a c-clip. Easy on/off. just pull the clip, unplug the wire harness behind the kick panel, and slide the pins out. I can swap doors in ~15 minutes. You can check em out at the bog sept 26th if you plan to be there, if not I come through Pekin everyday. Not at the woodshop anymore so we'll have to set up a time.
