daily doubler build

My mad driving skills :thefinger:

haha j/k man. It just feels good to be wheelin again. I've been back a day and I'm ready to start plannin the next trip!

When and where? I'll put it on our calendar now so that we don't make other plans.

I'd be up for the Cliffs anytime. Not this weekend due to Father's day and such, but I should be free any other weekend. I got into some mud at the badlands, it was unavoidable. I went ahead and pulled the hub/rotor to inspect the bearings. They were fine. Not saying I won't repack em after a good muddy trip, but I think I've finally got a decently reliable frontend. Less maintenance = more wheeling

Well, I'm tentatively available this weekend and next. I might be persuaded to make a Cliffs run on the 27th....

I'm down for the 27th. To hell with the Springfield jambo haha.

Apparently, I'm supposed to be in Door County, Wisconsin next weekend (Wed-Sat). I'm glad I checked....:annoyed:

I guess I'll just wait until July 11th. Are you working during the week? I'd be game for a Wed or Thursday trip in a couple weeks. Let me know if that would work for you. We'd have the park to ourselves just about.

FAWK! I just replied to the thread at CSS haha. Yeah I've got a M-F job through the summer. Then I mow the cemetary in town whenever I have time, so I try and keep my weekends free.

Man you went right up that pink (or did they rename it red?) rock ledge. I remember havin to really get at it last time i was there because it was slicker than shit. You should have tried going to the right of that more. I'm gonna try it when i'm at the melt this year for sure.

Anyways looks good. I need to get the samurai finished and get out there with you.

Anything give it any trouble?

Yeah I dunno if it was the 35's or the new axle, but it crawled up it like it was nothing. Like you said, it took some work to get up it before. I was thinking of trying that line, but I don't have a belly skid yet and didn't wanna risk bottoming out on my t-case.

And yes, they renamed it Red, but the old sign is still there that says Pink :thefinger:

No troubles so far. Only thing to complain about is the lack of compression. Its fine for crawlin, but I dropped off a couple ledges that I didn't notice right away and bottomed pretty hard. I had my shocks set on the softest setting so I'll turn em up a few clicks and see if that helps, it should. Either way its not worth making serious mods for a little more compression - yet. I'm still looking at gettin up to the Cliffs next weekend, so we'll see how it does in that envinronment.

Made it up to the Cliffs. Definitely a different type of wheelin. All wooded trails, lots of slick, steep hill climbs. It was pretty fun. Only got one action pic, the rest is the aftermath.

Cleaned it up and tried to get some better pics of the bed. The glare makes it hard to see, but its scuffed up pretty bad. I think I can take most of it out with a buffing wheel.

The cliffs is on my to do list.

Badlands Aug 21-23....we might make a trip to Mission Impossible on the Saturday.

Where's Mission Impossible?

Near the Badlands....Its kinda expensive. Don't recall what the charge was for a day.

The way I hear it is the old owners of the Badlands own some property near the Badlands. And for XX amount of money and a min. group size you can go and wheel it. Its suppose to be way more rocky and way more difficult then the badlands (just not as large acreage wise).
