Coleman Liquid Fuel

As long as the tent stays dry a rainy night in a tent is a great nights sleep.
It rained pretty hard my first night at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA last year. My new tent held up well. It's the kind with the floor that wraps up the side about 8" so the seam isn't on the ground. Trying to cook and eat in the rain for longer than a day is miserable though. Except for that one night the weather was fine. I camped there and again at the TRS 20th Anniversary Trail Ride. I'd still like to get a small trailer or a new Ranger with a mid-size slide-in from Travelite or Capri.

Are you going this year to Carlisle? Im probably gonna hang out for a lil and put the ugly lil ranger in next to the only other few 5.0 rangers there.... only 2 last year.

I love my Coleman lanterns but they are just too big for my type of camping. They are more or less for my hurricane kit and backyard parties.

Yes, I'm planning on it. Already asked for those days off from work although I haven't made my reservation yet. I was in a small campground next to the fairgrounds last year. There is a shower house next to the car wash area and portajohns in the campground. I found the area hotels are awful pricey on a show weekend, like over $200 a night.

I haven’t used one for camping yet. I do have a rechargeable LED Coleman I got cheap like 10 years ago because the globe was broken, I use it a lot when camping.

A gas one in a tent kinda scares me for a fire (my lab is a klutz)

The 200A runs!

And I made my 220J actually do something productive last night. I moved it upwind after the pic but it ran the whole time I was grilling burgers and didn't miss a beat. It was kinda nice to have a light out there.

Cool! Man I like that grill

Awesome! What'd you end up doing with the 200A to make it run?

I cleaned a ton of crap out of that new 220 I picked up, the fount is clean-ish and it'll run well but it flares up like crazy when first lit. Think I need to pull the valve assembly out and do more thorough cleaning on it.

All I did was clean out a little bit of muddauber nest in that top curved tube.

200A has been pulling grill duty and hasn't been missing a beat.

Went to the flea market this weekend and ran across a ton of Coleman gear - several old two burner stoves and a bunch of lanterns. The lanterns were all mostly unremarkable 220J/H models, one had an amber globe, and there were three yellow clamshell cases and one oddball lantern with a wide vent. Probably a knockoff/Chinese item and it had been spray painted so I didn't buy it.

I did buy this little gem though. I have never seen one before and they seem to be pretty uncommon (I guess last week was the week for uncommon finds.) I'm not sure if I'll make it run or not - I may just clean it up.

Wow. An upside down lantern

I’ve never seen one like that before. I wonder why they didn’t become a common thing? Cost?

The concept looks like it would be awesome.
