I have a 2008 Ranger Sport 4L. Just recently I have noticed that I cannot control the temperature inside the vehicle. It just blows air at the outside temperature no matter if it's on hot or cold. The air conditioning doesn't work, neither does the heater. The fan itself seems to work perfectly.
I took it to a local garage, but the mechanic was completely stumped! I will have to take it to ford I guess, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas first.
Thanks

Well, the most common cause would be the blend door actuator crapping out.

You should be able to see the actuator if you pop the defroster grille out. You just need a small paint scrapper or screwdriver to pop it out. Then move the temp knob and watch the square hole on it, if it doesn't move, I'll bet that's it.

sounds like a temperature blend door actuator issue to me. do you ever hear clicking coming from the dash when trying to change the temp.
