I know this has been pounded in 100 times but ive searched and cant find what im looking for so im going to ask a noob question. so... im currently running 6inch lift skyjacker ranger leafs (with 2 brokin leafs one on each side:annoyed:) and i want to get rid of the 2inch factory block but keep the same ride high. so my question is has anyone ran the chevy 6inch lift springs if so i have 3 questions for you... how do they flex? stiff? how high did they lift you and where did you order them.. part number anything. thanks Mike

I can answer all 3 real quick:

Flex = F'N GREAT!

Stiffness = soft ride until overload's, then it rides smooth and holds a load well, trailer/quad etc.

Height = from the inside of the frame next to the bump stop (lower edge of frame lip), to the bottom of the leafs (including O/L) 12.25" with Belltech 6400 shackle. And thats with 200lbs in the box.

I got mine from a local 4x shop, but they are Procomp 5.5" leafs for an 88-98 Chevy halfton.

that was the man i was looking for i just couldnt remember how to spell you name. thanks
thats the same measurement I have on my truck with the sky 6inch leafs. i was hoping for alil more lift because i want to remove my 2 inch block any ideas?

I'm still running my stock block, lol.....

I used the traditional lower front hole for hangar alignment, which due to spring length (possibly because of lift vs. stock) left me with a fairly flat shackle angle. If I was to do it again I'd use the upper front hole of the hangar and bolt it through the rivet hole of the box/cab mount combo. That might give you another inch or so, but keep in mind my truck also had a bit of weight in it as well as a plywood boxliner and a heavily built rear bumper. Aside from that, about the only thing left I would do if I was to go taller is build drop hangar's.

I used to be able to tuck 35's HARD, but even with the stock block with the chevy leafs my 37's rub during compression on both front and rear of the box sides. I plan on running either a flat bed or the smallest rise/bulge prerunner bedsides I can get away with.

yea i have the same crap in the bed got a 38 inch tsl on bead lock and a box thats full of atleast 100 lb of crap. i can stuff a 38 but rub slightly on the very back bottom corner of the wheel well but i plan on cutting the wheel wells out. ill probably just get the 5.5 chevys and get rid of the block and lower my cog and cut as much of the wheel wells out that i can front and rear. then maybe i can keep it on all 4s

Yup, my plan is to throw the front axle 2-3" ahead, and lower the truck 2-3". For a daily driver hopping in and out get's old...as does giving the 5' nuthin GF a lift, lol. Better gas mileage can't hurt either.
