center consoles

I have an 02 edge with buckets and the center console, well the arm rest that sits above the center console broke at the hinge. I was wondering if any of you guys know of any aftermarket console that bolt in directly or of a console from another vehicle that, unlike the ranger console, has a console lid that is also the armrest. I'm really not looking to get new seats, my buckets are in great shape the armrest is the only problem.

I had the same issue with my 2002 and I found one in a U-Pull salvage yard for 6 dollars.

Check out this thread gives the part number/process to repair your armrest. Looks like the price has gone up since the OP did the repair, but otherwise its the same steps.

did you replace your lid/bottom of the lid? I found and ordered that piece 3 days after I posted and I cant seem to get the hinge pin out

Sorry for the delay, the pin is plastic, you should be able to break the ends of it off and slide it out since you're replacing it with the provided hardware.

not a problem, I ended up getting it- it seemed so much more difficult than plastic for some reason
