Canopy Interchangeability

Hey all,

New guy here, so please humor me if the question has been answered 1000 times (I used the search function, no luck) but I'm wondering if I can use a canopy from a '93-'97 XLT on my '94 XL. Both trucks are the extended cab, and appear to be the same bed length, but I want to know for sure before I go to the junkyard and start pulling the canopy! It would be a shame to take it off just to find out it didn't fit.

As long as the length is right, 6' or 7', they kinda all work. 93+ would fit perfect for you.

A 83-92 shell has to be slid backwards about 1/4" from where it should be, on a 93+, to clear the 3rd brake light.

Not quite, I had an older model one on my 2k7 it fits but you can tell its off by a little bit..

Except for the color, that looks to me like it fits fine.

Meh the price was right; But you can tell the fit is just a hair off when you line it up, not enough for me to care but some might because its not "perfect" ...
